In 2023, shoppers will expect a personalized experience when they visit your e-commerce store. This means understanding their needs and preferences and tailoring the shopping experience accordingly.

One way to personalize the shopping experience is to use data from past interactions to make product and content recommendations. You can also segment your email list and send targeted messages to different groups of customers. To do that try to implement Analytics solutions like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

Register their visit and each page they viewed. Connect that with their purchase decision and you have enough data for a recommendation algorithm.

Google says that it’s data from a tool called Lighthouse does not matter when ranking pages, but even if engagement only is considered. Loading of more then 3 seconds on a mobile phone will reject 90% of users.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots can be used to improve the customer experience on your e-commerce website. AI can be used to personalize the shopping experience and make recommendations, while chatbots can be used to answer customer questions in real time.

With the boom in tools like Chat-GPT from OpenAI, it’s easier than ever to create an AI assistant that will help users stay on your website for longer!

Free shipping is one of the most effective marketing tools for e-commerce businesses. In fact, a study by UPS found that 95% of shoppers are more likely to purchase from an online store if they offer free shipping.

If you don’t already offer free shipping, now is the time to start. You can either absorb the cost of shipping or pass it on to your customers in the form of a shipping fee.

Another option is to use a 3rd party services like Amazon that allows for a fee, free delivery to their premium customers!

An abandoned cart is a shopping cart that is created but not completed. On average, 80% of online shoppers abandon their shopping carts based on data from November 2022, so it’s important to have a strategy in place to recover these lost sales.

Start with creating a product/brand/shop page on social media. This doesn’t bring much value in itself but allows you to promote your stuff through different channels. Keep it up to date with posting at least once a month so that customers will see that you are active.
