Introduction to VR Technology

A virtual reality (VR) is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. VR is a three-dimensional, computer-generated environment that can be explored and interacted with by a person. This person becomes a part of this virtual world or is immersed within this environment and whilst there, is able to manipulate objects or perform a series of actions.

In order to experience virtual reality, you will need a VR headset. These headsets are designed to block out the external environment and provide you with a stereoscopic view of the virtual world. There are many types of headsets. There are those connected to computers such as HTC Vive, or Oculus Rift. There are devices dedicated to consoles such as PlayStation VR. But the new booming headset is Occulus Quest 2, which provides all the VR experience in one package.

Prographers also have experience with Virtual Reality applications. Virtual Reality is a completely immersive experience, in which users can interact with three-dimensional environments. It is often used in gaming but can be used for other purposes as well. The most common clients are often from House and Furniture markets. Prographers can help you create a custom virtual reality application or game, or integrate VR into an existing application.

Virtual Reality usages

Virtual Reality is used in many different fields, for example:

Healthcare – simulations for training purposes, patient treatment
Construction – planning and design, project management
Retail – product visualization, store design
Education – training simulations, virtual field trips
Entertainment – video games, movies, virtual reality experiences

Emerging VR Market

There are many potential applications for virtual reality technology in the future. Some of the most likely applications include:

-Virtual reality shopping experiences
-Virtual reality gaming experiences
-Virtual reality training and simulation
-Virtual reality therapy
-Virtual reality conferences and events
-Virtual reality movies and entertainment
